Authorities in Dongguan city, South China's Guangdong province, found that two imported frozen food packaging samples tested positive for the novel coronavirus, local health authorities said Saturday.

According to the city's disease prevention and control center, the two samples were taken from frozen chicken wings imported from Argentina and frozen chicken feet imported from Russia.

Local authorities have closed off related companies, disinfected the areas and conducted nucleic acid tests on relevant personnel who had direct contact with the food.

So far, the relevant personnel who had direct contact with the food have tested negative for COVID-19.
